I don't think so, I think movies like this can be enjoyed by anyone. I don't see it as a chick-flick anyway, I'd say it's more of a disaster and tragedy movie.

If a girl loves action movies (which are mostly targetted towards boys) and played with action men when they were younger, it's fine. Yet if a boy loves chick flicks and plays with a barbie when younger it's a completely different story. Double standards much.

Oh and if this was (e.g.) 'The Godfather' no one would be saying "This is more of a boys movie" so...

No..I'm a guy and I loved it, the Movie had good effect and people dying the girl naked and all.. I enjoy watching the movie overall.

My fiance loves it too but because it's romantic
