'He exists now only in my memory' is the saddest quote ever. It would have been so nice for her to have a picture that she would put under her pillow or above her bed so she would see it everytime she woke up. I dont think any scenes should be added, because the film is long enough as it is.

if jack and rose both suyrvived..the story wouldnt be as touching and powerful as it is. btrw i lvoe these two scenes!

It would comfort her and remind her of the time she spent with Jack.

I agree with @heavenly13 that the story wouldn't have been as touching. I think that Jack and Rose actually did get married in the dream, so I don't really consider that an "alternative." I already imagine the boiler room and shooting star scenes to have happened in the story even though they weren't in the film. I think Jack already showed Rose his love for her; he died for her, so I don't think he had to say it. I also agree with @EalasaidWooster that a picture of her and Jack would comfort and remind Rose.

Even though I've seen this movie many times I still hope and pray he survives...

I just realized, Jack does not say "I love you" to Rose during the movie, odd.

I don't think that it was a dream. I think she died but it is sad that Rose does not have a picture of Jack

Surely she deserves that, at least, after all she lost onboard the titanic.

Or Jack saying "I love you" to Rose or the shooting star and bolier room scenes being included Or Old Rose having a picture of her and Jack!

@katealphawolf: I don't really think that Jack needed to say "I love you" to Rose, we know how much he loved her by how upset he was when she told him she was going back (The you're amazing scene)and also how happy he was when she said "Hello Jack. I changeed my mind." his face lit right up! And I think if Jack HAD said "I love you" to Rose; the only possible scene where he could say that was in "The Promise" scene, and I think that would have made that scene SO much more sad, because it would have shown that he knew that more than likey that he was going to die and that that moment would be the only time in his life where he could say "I love you Rose."
