There is a place where the trees reach above the mountains and the mountains reach lower than the sea. This place is a forest, named by many before the time of the new Wuek, which mean grand and green in the tongue of their land. Wuek, that in which stretched as far as countries, and the land a place that harbored the wonders of their world.
Within this forest dwelt many creatures, all in which cherished a cycle of life that kept their home fed with order and stability that in turn gave birth to all. Rivers stretched wide and existed in abundance throughout the forest. This kingdom of nature was also home to many peoples and spirits that respected all that they were as well as all of what Wuek offered. These peoples were like gardeners to a large garden, overseeing and protecting the land and its cycle.
But as time went on, the people in which inhabited Wuek began to succumb to greed and gluttony, drawing lines of division that would only thicken as years progressed. Among these people were a group known as the Pohji, and with them fives races of people: the Druids, the Elvish, the Naturens, the Centaurs, and a race of earth-born nymphs that were simply known as the Sheshkrine.
Soon, the first drop of blood was shed upon Wuek and war spilled into the forest for centuries they fought, tarnishing the land with selfishness and envy and other negative energies. Trees were set ablaze, rivers befouled by corpses. Villages were swallowed in the act of battle.
But unknown to the 6 Keepers of the land, their acts of wickedness towards one another and the negative energy that poured into the land birthed the rise of a dark force unlike that in which they had ever witnessed. But before they had a fighting chance to stop it, it was too late. The evil ravaged Wuek, drying the rivers and tainting the soil. Polluting the air and shriveling the grass until eventually some of the inhabitants began to be twisted and morphed into creatures of identical nature. These creatures became known as the Forsaken, and the dark force that led them the All Evil.
And so from each of the guardian people, warriors of great stature and power were sent to attempt to slay the evil, but all were in vain. It wasn't until they banded together and fought the evil were they able to force its surrender, sealing it away within forbidden lands far from their own. But this was only the first of their trials.
For three hundred more years Wuek was in devastation and with vegetation and its formal beauty struggling to recover, its inhabitants were left in poverty. And one by one, they left the land in search of new to inhabitant and call home.
All except the Pohjis, the Centaurs, and Druids, who were the wisest of the six Keepers of Wuek. The Pohji, the most spiritual. The Centaurs the most connected to earth. The Druids, the most in tune with the animals and nature alike. Unlike the others, they had become allies to protect their home both against the great evil as well as their former neighbors. They remained and prayed to the god of the land to restore their home in hopes that they could start anew and rid themselves of the corrupted foundation that had been left to them. And for the diligence that they would uphold for years ahead to come, they were answered.
In the 70th year of their diligence the three remaining elder groups were gifted on a night full of stars. It was on this 70th night that a magnificent light filled the sky, and from it came a comet wrapped in dazzling white and golden light that struck down within Pohji territory. The initial impact shook Wuek with a divine wake-up call.
However, within the crater of rapidly growing grass and bush was no comet, for its cries were a ringing within the air that called forth the spirits of those who had been slain.
When the Pohji arrived, they found a infant who appeared very different from the people of Weuk. It's skin was smooth a held a soft gleam. It's hair was as white as snow, and its eyes bluer any of their rivers. They raised the child to the sky and a powerful voice spoke to them all.
Her name..will be Yasha.
And from that day forward, she would be raised among the Pohji as if she were born as one of their own.
