I doubt she'd want to leave on her own plus with Ric dead and him not leading the council anymore they might not even go through with killing them anyway, but it's true that she'd want to cover for Tyler's death so she might leave for a little while at least, though I hope she comes back soon in Season 4 :)

I think that now that Alaric is dead, they will find a way to get council members of vervain, for a while, and then compel them to forget, so she won't have to leave town.
