Will Stefan really leave Mystic Falls?

I think that he'll go with him and I think that Damon and Elena will go looking for him :)

I think he will leave Mystic Falls. Not Tyler style where we never saw what happened to him during the time he was away. I think for a few episodes we'll follow Stefan with Klaus, learn more about the originals, Stefan's ripper past and what Klaus has in store for him... as he said to Stefan; all will be explained in good time once they leave Mystic Falls... or 'sad little town' as Klaus put it properly!

It was one of the biggest cliffhangers of S2... they can't have Stefan stay in Mystic Falls otherwise the whole idea would have been pointless. To have Stefan escape Klaus, ween himself of a massive human-blood intake again and play happy families with Elena again would be SO anti-climactic and cripple what could be a very interesting story line for Stefan. Who lets face it, hasn't had much of the limelight this season.

That and personally, I think it's about time we branch away from Mystic Falls for a bit. I'd like to think the show will follow the books in the sense that Damon and Elena will go out to find and rescue Stefan (without the dark dimension shizzle!)
