Does Katherine know...?

Good question! I'd like to know that... but I think she doesn't.

I don't think she knows, we haven't actually seen her be told either thing so I'm assuming she doesn't.

I don't think she does or did (maybe she found out since Klaus told her, cause she doesn't seem all that shocked).

In the beginning of the season she went through a lot of trouble to get the moonstone and turn Caroline into a vampire and make Tyler a werewolf.

I think that she honestly believed the legend, myth, whatever it's called. Besides, if she knew, I think she would have told Stefan and Damon. I know she can and is sneaky but she wants Klaus dead so she can be free again, so I don't think she would have held out on something THAT important on the brothers.

I think she does/did. Since she was suppost to be sacrificed (But then she became a vampire) So i think Klaus told her about it, and when she became a vampire to avoid getting sacrificed - Klaus was mad at her so she probably wanted to make a deal with him. A vampire, a werewolf, the moonstone and Elena. Thats all Klaus needed to do the sacrifice. So thats why i think she knows/knew.
