Plz Help!! I dont understand isnt Elijah supposed to be dead? Damon stabbed him in the heart. How come he came back alive?

I think it might have to do with the fact he's one of the 'originals'. It was the same in the books with Klaus. I'm sure we'll find out more soon anyway

he is an orginial, which means one of the very first vampires EVER MADE. which also means harder to kill then regular vampires. this was kinda like in the books like wit that one vamp, which i forgot which his name was. but this isnt gonna be an easy battle for them to win, im wondering wht will happen.
