what happened with Elena's cool clothes in season 2 ????

In season 1, I really liked Elena's fashion style. very cool !! But in season 2 so far, I really don't like it !!
in season 1, she quite often wear a jacket, and it looks very nice on her ...
like at night of the comet, she's wearing a white jacket ... very pretty !
