The Vampire Diaries TV Show Question

Is it Katerina, Katarina or Katherina?

I'm obviously talking about Katherine...
Damon said her real last name is Petrova, but I heard he said Katerina, then I read a lot of people saying Katarina and then in Wikipedia it says Katherina (I know I can't trust very much in Wikpedia, but still...)

What did you hear? I'm leaning towards the 'Katerina' option...

It can't be Katerina, because that's the girl that plays Bonnie's real name. You know, Katerina Graham? And it's pronounced Ka-trina. So, it can't be Katerina.

I think it's Katarina, because I don't think there was an H in there anywhere when Damon said it.

Well, that's how americans pronounce the name 'Katerina'. Damon pronounced the name in some european accent... I'm guessing it's something to do with russian, bulgarian, etc.

And the fact that Katerina is the name of one of the show actresses doesn't mean anything...
