Marius because he's gentle and lovable. I know he would be kind and take me under his wing, he would be a teacher and a father, and would leave nothing out, he would not mock me, or tease me (*caughLestatcaugh*). He would not leave my side unless absolutely necessary, and even after we do part ways he would of course check up on me from time to time. Who wouldn't want a sire like that?

I made this question a fan pick 4 months ago in the Vampires Spot. ("If you were turned in The Vampire Chronicles universe, which vampire would be doing it?" and the names of all of those I could think of at the moemnt.)

And I picked Marius and I still do. I didn't go that indepth as you did but that's basically why I too would prefer him over anyone else. This is what I said in my version of the pick:

Lol, it was one or the other of my two absolute favorite dudes - Lestat & Marius. But easy choice; I'd rather be a fledgling of the compassionate wise ancient one than of the irresponssible Brat, though otherwise there's nothing wrong with that in Lestat. Which is also why Marius is the best choice - I'd possibly get to be around Lestat a lot. =DD

But yeah, you said it more indepth. (:

I don't really know why. Because honestly if i had a choice i would not want to become a vampire. All though its obvouis that Lestat would turn you against your will cough "The tales of the body theif"

Marius. He is so gentle and deeply cares for his children. Besides, I've alway had a thing for him cause he's older and wiser. He'd be a good teacher.

David. I like him a lot and his blood is connected with Lestat, which is irrelevant but I was going to choose Lestat.

But I don't like him enough that I would want to read his mind. I don't really care what he thinks. Love his stories and what he says. So he is the one vampire I wouldn't mind being mentally blocked from. Out of the following. I know that Mekare would be blocked from me anyway, but she isn't that close to Lestat..so I wouldn't see him enough to read his mind.

AND He is lovable. Every single vampire on the list would love him. So they would visit him. He would only make me if he was completely in love with me, and he couldn't bear to have me die. Therefore I would be close to him, and in association be close to everyone else, without being blocked mentally.

Or Lestat, or Marius ^^

i don´t really know why, but he has style and.. and.. well he is totaly awesome :')

I picked Armand because it would be all the more special since he hasn't created as many fledglings as the others :D

I don't really know why I picked Louis maybe because he is my fave character. If I had a choice to not become a vamp I would so go with that because being a vampire sux for a lot of reasons; you can't go out in the sun, you have to drink blood, you have to kill things to drink the blood and you would see all your friends and family die if they weren't vampires too. Do you see my point?

As a person who seeks and values knowledge who better than a Vampire of he first brood I can only imagine the things I could learn from them not to mention the strength as a fledgling i would possess and I believe they would be equally loving and great teachers.
