He is not canon. He never existed in the movie universe. There's boatloads of proof of that since 1995, from official sources. The commentary track on the Laserdisc/dvd, the official trailer of TLK2, a magazine interview with one of the animators of TLK2, an audio interview with one of the story board artists of TLK2, and an e-mail response from Alex Simmons the author of the first book in the Six New Adventures books and the creator of Kopa.

I wish you Kopa fans would grow up/mature and realize that Kopa not being canon is not the end of the world.
