Ok the other night I was just playing a random lion king scene in my head. (Don't ask me why I just do that sometimes). Anyway and It hit me. Think about the first scene in the second film. When timon and pumbaa are saying how they are going to teach the new baby, saying: "look at the little guy". Then rafiki corrects them by saying "it's a girl."
Ok now let's think. If we deleted that scene from the movie the story would flow and nothing would change. So why did they incorporate that in the movie? And the answer is... That's right fluffy was indeed originally supposed to be a boy,I mean think about all of the books, the trading cards everything called it a boy. But then when it came for a sequel they scrapped that idea because they didn't want to how should I put this, they didn't want to repeat the first movie so they shook it up a bit and made it a girl. So that's why timon and pumbaa acted so surprised they were symbolizing everyone out there who thought that the new baby was going to be a boy. But you say,"lionkingartist I'm still not convinced".Ok here's some more proof then. Think back to the circle of life scene where Mufasa meets rafiki and they have a buddy moment and hug (ahh besties 4eve ^_^) anyway then they go to sarabi where she's holding baby Simba and they do the ceremonial thing and well you've seen the movie. And at the end where Simba and Nala gets their cub presented it's just a quick oh here's the new baby BAM movies over. But wait. What if the beginning scene of the second movie is the last scene of the first think about it because in the second movie Simba and Nala are already standing up and timon and pumbaa are up on top of pride rock with them just like the first one. Of course it's not an identical scene cause I mean come on they had to change it a little so it seems more original. But it stands to reason that it's basically the same scene just altered slightly.
So in conclusion there is absolutely no gap between the first movie and the second it's one complete story and indeed with absolutely no doubt about it that Kiara is definitely Fluffy.Thank you
