I can think of a few things I wouldn't mind seeing.
The Lion King: Special Edition
First, a Special Edition of the original platformer, where the graphics and music are enhanced, and the game can run on newer systems. They could make it available on Steam (PC, Mac, Linux, and selected consoles) but also do a physical release of the game so that it can be played on other consoles that do not have Steam support.
Simba's Pride: the Adventure Game
Something else that I think would be cool - an adventure-style game of the film's sequel. The player would control both Kiara and Kovu, and not only could it contain the action elements of a platform game, but also include some puzzles in the style of an adventure game (e.g. talking to other characters and being able to choose from a selection of dialogue, having to move objects in the scenery like a rock or something to reveal a new area, maybe being able to use objects) in order to progress further into the game. The point in playing as two different characters would be that Kiara and Kovu would have different abilities and their own parts of the story, which would intertwine. I love adventure games and I think the sequel has a good storyline for that sort of game.
The Lion King: Multiplayer
Another game that I could think could work; another action-based game that tells the story of the original, but multiplayer. Each level, depending on the story, you get to choose from a selection of characters, and they all have different abilities. Each level should be completable with a single character (but it could be very tricky) but the idea is that the game would be more fun with two or more players. Might work well as a console game with a few controllers. For example, there could be a "Hakuna Matata" level that supports up to three players, and they get to choose between Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa. Simba would be the strongest of the group, Timon would be able to fit into small gaps and reach areas of the level that the others can't, and Pumbaa would probably have some abilities that rely on bodily function humour. Depending on which character you play as, some parts of the level will be easier than others. But if you have three players and all the characters in play, it's a lot easier and sociable too!
