The Hunger Games Question

How did you feel about Haymitch after learning how he won the 50th Hunger Games Quarter Quell?

How'd it make you feel to know that he sat there with Maysilee while she died?

I thought it was neat because we got to see a different side of Haymitch, and I was glad to finally learn why he drank so much. I had better respect for him, since I liked him anyway.

I think it showed us a different Haymitch. He, as all the victors, changed after winning the Hunger Games. Maybe he was a good boy, but after the Games, and the consequences it had for his family, he turned into someone who didn't know how to handle what he was through. He might had tried to go back to who he was, but it was too late. The wasn't a way back.

I felt bad for him, and he did the right thing sitting there with Maysilee while she died..
Makes me kind of wonder what he thought when Katniss sang to Rue and held her hand while she died..
They're more alike than I thought they would be (Haymitch and Katniss).
And yeah, it made me have more respect for him, because that would have really taken a toll on him and make him want to drink and take the pain away.. especially after President Snow killed everyone he loved..

I always liked Heymitch. He is my favourite character since i read the 5 or 6 chapter of The Hunger Games. I knew he was a good person deep inside and to be honest i don't care if he is an alcoholic or not. When he sat with Maysilee i wasn't surpirised! I have always trusted him! Many people think he is not so important for the books, well they are wrong. Haymitch is one of the reason i love The Hunger Games.

I realised that he went through a lot, and that he has all the reason to be a drunk. I definitely respected him more. That's when I fell in love with Haymitch. Haha xD

Well I was curious because he was right to go to the wall then when it backfired on them I was like OMG! He's just like Katniss in The Hunger Games that's how he knew to help her. I was amazed actually
