Once, a long time ago, there were people who were known as Demigods. The offspring of a God and a mere mortal. They thrived in abundance, in a place known to be Camp Half-Blood. But fifty years ago, some unknown force wiped them out. The Gods sent the remaining twelve to a band of others. They were master swordsmen who had the blessing of the Gods.
With some help, twelve swords were created. Each sword carried the blessing of the twelve Olympian Gods respectively. The swordsmen also bound some of their skills and personalities in the blades. But with great power comes the attraction of great enemies. They were overwhelmed and all passed on. The twelve blades were hidden, waiting for their right owners to arrive in this world.
They were the twelve blades.
