If you hate Jason, then Jason is a cheap copy of Percy, you are saying you hate Percy. Am I right?

And of course people hate it when there's a copy of something they like only dumbed down, less good and full of itself, why I hate Apple. (That analogy fits way to well)

Really? I made one pick and people are still picking on me for that? -_-
Ok, I waited for The Lost Hero hoping for the old gang, Alright? I'm pretty sure a lot of you did. But then there was no Percy and the first book had another Trio.
A girl with lots of information about Greek mythology, a goofy boy who pokes fun and leader of the quest with a badass dad. I'm just sayin' , It does look familiar doesn't it?
I'm a sucker for old characters, Silena, Beckendorf, Thalia. That's why I didn't really like the new ones, at least not in the first book. We'll just have to wait and see the new Jason with his memories back.
Hope that helped.

He's pretty schizo- I mean inconsistent, I'd prefer if he goes full pride LIKE A ROMAN SHOULD!

I'm going to say one thing, and hope it clears things out for most.

Saying you love Percy and hate Jason is like saying you love Poseidon and hate Neptune.

They are practically the same, but Jason is like Percy's Roman equivalent.

^^Your my opposite then, I like Ares and dislike Mars, smug prick acting like butchery is civilized if he could accept he's an embodiment of carnage I'd like him better.

Gods of Olympus I knew this was you as soon as I read it.
People, myself included dislike Jason namely because he's a hollywood version of Percy with out the depth so far. However if he proves to be the renegade version of Percy, putting the result above the means then I will actually like him better.

No. Yes Percy and Jason are similar. Neptune and Posiedon are similar. Mars and Ares are similar. Greeks and Romans are kinda similar (they're both demigods. but, at the same time, they are COMPLETELY different. Ares picked a fight with Percy and would get angry with disrespect, Mars flicked him off like he was a fly. Sure Jason and Percy are similar in some ways, but they have differences. I don't like the differences that Jason has. Either make him completly different from Percy, or make the changed attributes more desirable.
If this makes sence: because he has differences from Pecy, it makes him a different person. They are not carbon copies, though they share certain similar characteristics. (Say I have two similar friends. Because one is slightly more bold, I tend to dislike that attribute, where the other friend is more demure, I would tend to get along with the demure friend better than the bold.) kinda like this but different senario.

Yerp. :3

I'm not gonna hate Percy or Jason, unless Percy somehow is going to be the troller again of this series and "Come on, let's go meet my other family!" or "He's probably at the Roman camp, and doesn't even know who he is." and yada yada and then I'll probably just be hating Rick if anything, but in the I-love-you-but-you-are-trying-to-kill-us-with-these-endings. As for Jason, I won't do anything to kill him unless he harms Leo my baby or kills Percy. :D So hopeful I have an excuse to kill someone, but not sure who yet.

Whichever character finds it funny to troll the ending of the MOA will be killed however, but if it's Leo I'll just hunt him down and strangle him. No harm done. And then we rally to hunt down Rick. He'd better plan moving to the moon where we can't find him lol ;3

It's not just because Jason is a cheap copy, RR did a mistake in the pov thingy. Thing is, the first series had a 1st person pov, which is Percy's, so OBVIOUSLY, everyone would be easily attached to him because the narration and all comes from him (plus he's just plain awesome). If RR thinks that he could make us love the new characters', especially jason's, pov in an instant then he's wrong. We're all used to percy and admit it, we love his pov and are attached to him. If RR really wanted all his characters to have equal love then he should've just had a third person pov in the pjo series (THOUGH THAT WOULD BE TOTAL SHT) that way we won't have percy as a forever bias :P.

But I do think making HoO a third person with 3 povs is a good idea. It would be hard to tell the story if it was only percy's pov (but yeah, like I said, I still only look forward to his povs, and leo's I guess. Maybe annabeth when MoA comes out?).

Anyways, you can't expect us to love jason that fast when everybody was EXPECTING percy in the first book. Jason is...okay I guess. He's just way to boring for me and how he makes jokes..it's kind of out of character? I don't know. The whole funny, light-hearted thing is percy's thing so maybe that's why I sometimes think Jason is just a cheap copy. I just don't think he's the kind that makes lame jokes :P
I think it was a bad idea that we saw jason's greek+roman personality before jason's roman-only personality :P

NO OFFENSE TO JASON LOVERS! This is just my own honest opinion that I had to let out (to defend percy! lol haha) :P

Edit: CRAP, that was too long. Sorry.
tl;dr We love Percy pov first. Suddenly making us read new povs won't make us fall in love with them suddenly, especially jason's :P
