Even in her more direct and confrontational song “Picture to Burn”, she uses metaphor to compare her past with the guy to the picture that she’s setting aflame. In “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”… that’s it. Taylor Swift will never get back together with her boyfriend. Ever.
