Tangled Question

Do you think Flynn should have said something else after he is healed by the tear?

"Did I ever tell you I had a thing for brunettes?" isn't quite the charm to me.

Had he said anything else, it would have seemed out of character. He isn't one to express his feelings in an obvious way. The comment he makes my seem like a wise crack, but really it does have a deeper meaning. This is his humorous and round about way of saying "I love you even though you no longer have magic powers." I think it is sweet and true to his character.

I understand the meaning of his words. Then how about "you were my new dream"? Compared to his humor, isn't that "out of character"? All i'm saying is it's not that very out of character if he said something that had a direct meaning such as "I love you."

I agree, I also think the screenwriters may have been trying to lighten the mood after all of the heavy drama that had gone down.

I agree too. you were my new dream and you were mine. After they said in the before the song "I See the Light" Well that's the best thing I guess you get to start a new dream. = so grate what they said.

Exactly! It's the whole "lightning the mood". It is a kid's movie after all... and besides, I think it was romantic AND funny. That way the 'boys' that came to see the film wouldn't go "Eww" or something..

No, I think it was perfect because Disney ended a tender moment with something funny, and that's just the magic of Disney:)
