The best & so much cheaper!! I save a ton of money. It is fun to learn & not as hard as it seems. My speciality is sake maki & sake nigiri...of course I like sashimi & LOOOVE nori, & gari, & so much more!!
No... I don't want to handle the fish part.. I'm weird about that.. I'll eat it and love it but dont want to cut it up... I don't like eating animals of any sort but I do anyway because they're so darn tasty. Still feel bad though.

I use bleach to make everything super clean, and lemon to clean, and use wax paper when I rill on the sushi mat & over my cutting board. I add a lil green stem of a sliced-long green onion and some wasabi paste I slide along the inside with a chopstick before I roll & VIOLA. It really is not hard to make & so yum. *super sharp sushi knife a must & I either use my fingers dipped in cold water for the sticky rice or a spoon in glass of water.
It is a lot of effort to make it look all pretty & proper like a master would, but I like ritual.
I made unagi nigirizushi once before. XD The eel itself was already frozen and prepared beforehand, so I didn't have to prepare it from scratch. It was delicious~!
