but I was happy with everything - exactly the way it was.

I liked that Lu made that reference but I'm glad that Sam didn't because that would have made him more like Lu. And it would have ruined the dramatic sacrifice and made it a gloating moment. And Sam's beyond that. What he did wasn't about proving he was better than the Devil. It was about doing the right thing.

It took me a minute to get that, because then I remembered what Lucifer said while he was in Nick. And that's an awesome line from the song, but that wouldn't have been Sam. That would have made him more like Lucifer.

His name's Sammy and it might be a sin but he'll take your bet and your gonna regret 'cause he's the best that's ever been xD

Loved all those references Lucifer made. I'm willing to ignore that one of the first priorities Lu had after getting out of his cage probably weren't actually watching Star Wars and listening to The Devil Went Down To Georgia just for the awesomenes of it all, thoguh you never know of course...

But I think they would have taken it a little too far if Sammy actually continued with the whole thing. I liked that it was just a pasing reference to show us again how awesome Lucifer is :D

Ok, I guess I DON'T understand that reference, after all. lol But it still would've been cool, cuz it would've been true! Sam proved he's stronger than Satan. How cool is that?

I don't think I get it...

When Sam was about to say yes to Lucy, Lucy said "I bet a fiddle of gold against your soul cos I think I'm better than you" - that's a line from 'The Devil Went Down To Georgia' where the Devil bets a young boy that he can play the fiddle better - if the boy wins he gets the Devils golden fiddle, but if the Devil wins he gets the boys soul. At the end of the song when the boy has won he says to the Devil "Come back if you ever wanna try again, I told you once you son of a bitch, I'm the best thats ever been"

I think it would have been a bit odd to have heard that at that moment out of Sammy's mouth. The scene was supposed to be sad and emotional not have a somewhat funny remark thrown in there.
