After seeing a few appearences of Rubby and her demonic blade, I started thinking... Could mr. Colt have been a "good demon"?

It's seems that only someone who has being in hell will have such a vast knowledge of how to fight and kill demones (otherwise there would have been more than one "super gun" running around)
I thought it might be a good story twist
