I was just wondering exactly how many scenes from the show had been set to some popular song, and why people feel the need to put scenes from the show to music (and others, people do it with House and Grey's Anatomy too).

Is this a cultural thing? Is it meant to get meaning out of the show we'd otherwise miss?
