In Supernatural who is and what happened to Mary Winchester's brother?

In season 2 the Winchester brother's go to visit their mother's grave after there dad died which has apparantley been put up by her brother. Then in season 3 when Sam looks into his mother's history he discovers everyone who knew her is dead including her brother. But in season 4 when Dean is sent back in time and meets the Campbells there is no mention of any other child but Mary.

Good question. I mean, there is only that one mention of him, but Dean says "yea, put up by our uncle, our man we've never even met", so even though it's an unlikely long shot, it's possible that it was john's brother? But yeah, I've wondered this and it's a good point :S

Well one of the rumours is they are going to go deaper into the history of the Campbells in season 6 so maybe we'll find out then.
