I was wondering what's the difference between wallpapers, fanart and photos, i.e., where would be the best place to post pics I've made? I can't tell what's the difference between the ones posted under wallpapers and fanart?

Wallpapers are usually sized specifically to be used as a background on your computer. Fan art is any other sort of fan-made or fan-edited mash-up, collage, banner, drawing, etc. Probably what you have would go into the fan art category. Photos are things like on the set photos, promotional photos, convention photos or any other picture that doesn't really fit into any other category.


On the right-hand side of the fanpop image upload page, it includes these guidlines, incase you forget:

- Select ICON if it's a small image (100x100 pixels, for example)

- Use the WALLPAPER setting for large, high-resolution images meant to be used to decorate your desktop.

- Fan-created mashups, drawings, sketches, posters and the like go in the FAN ART category.

- Any images that don't fit in with the other categories should be added as PHOTOS.
