What gives you hope? Family? Friends? Relationships? Money? The list could go on. However, only one thing could give you lasting hope. After you die all the money, the society status, and everything you can buy, will not go with you when you die. We treasure so many things that won't even matter when we die.
To those who do injure themselves, I can show and tell you what that ever lasting hope and peace. His name is Jesus Christ and he wants to show what love really means. He loves you for who you are not what you've done. He died a horrific death so that one day you might believe in Him. Everyone has done wrong things. From the time you first lied to your last breath breath you will do wrong things. If you ask Him to forgive what you've done with your whole heart, he will forget them as if they never happened. To get that ever lasting hope, you have to ask Jesus to take over your life with your whole heart.
The reason I started this fan club was because I want to alert other that this is a serious thing. However my main reason is to help those who are how I once was. I used to carve until one day I felt God had wanted me to stop hurting my body. What I saw in me before was damaged that I thought no one could fix. Insecurity and depression is what started it. God once told me through a retreat, " I'm not finished with you yet, you are beautifully and wonderfully made. You have gone through so much. I want to use that. What you call junk, I call clay. I'm the potter and you are the clay. I will mold you into what needs to be. Let me carry that awfully heavy burden, you've carried it long enough." Soon after that I began a close relationship with Jesus Christ. I know that when I die I will go to Heaven where I will spend the rest of eternity with Jesus Christ.
I do still stuggle with injuring myself sometimes. I stuggle on the temptation, but I pray to God and ask him to take that temptation. I ask him to give me strength. Then I end up turning on the radio or something and there is a song being played about strength. I pray for every reader that if they injure themselves that they will reach out to Jesus Christ. I pray that they go to a trusted adult. I pray that if you know someone who injures themselves that you pray for and with them.
