It's the original couple and shouldn't be tampered with with an OC. OCs are great but they should never interfere with the original idea.

Rose is my character that i made up in my story called rains' sister.
And i know i shouldn't mess with the original couple but i got bored and start writing the story, and since there was no second movie for spirit stallion of the cimarron i made a story. Sorry for messing with them,its just you will never know how long the relationship lasts,and its no just them its also about other peoples relationships to.
