The movie gave enough narration for us to understand what's going on, but they kept it natural-we're humans, so we understand what the humans say-but we have to read the animals based on what they are doing. I like it that way and it would seem too fake and odd if they up and started talking. But that's just my opinion.

no, we don't need them to talk. When you look at them you know exactly what they are saying. That is what gives the film it's charm, the fact that the animals don't actually "talk"
