Maybe if they are already finished with the manga, they will be very busy working on the anime. But maybe it will be on 2013 because they are deleting scenes, editing scenes, and making up a new theme song. I hope for the best that Soul Eater season 2 will be much more better than season 1!

How would you know they are delting and editing new scenes? And making a new theme song? Got any proof? Or are you confused with what they did with the Soul Eater Repeat Show?
Nobody is 100% sure about it but there are MANY rumors that it will be released in summer 2012! But until it's officially announced all you can do is wait and read the Manga since it's still on going! Hope I helped! =D

Nothing has yet been clarified that there will be a season to. I really hope there is though, I love soul eater, It's my all time favourite anime. But there has been a lot of talk that there will be a second season and also previews for the second season. I have been doing some research and I have found and been told that the makers of Soul Eater MIGHT be holding off the 2nd season until they finish the manga so they will have enough time to; make a new theme song, edit scenes, delete scenes and that sort of stuff. It may be released in 2013 from what I have heard. It is such a shame really, I really just want to start watching it as soon as I can. I hope I have been some help in any way possible. They would lisence it in Japan only because it comes out in Japanese before english obviously so if anyone knew how to read Japanese they could go to the Bones website and read anything on the forum XD but odds are it won't be out in english until 2013... But who cares? Soul Eater is soul eater no matter what language!
there is the goggle translator; and "Soul Eater" is a pretty well known anime, so news of a new season getting licensed would spread really fast; the question is how long does it take for it to get licensed for it to then become available
The reason everything went pear shaped with the previous season is because the manga hadn't yet been completed and they had to make the end themselves. To stop this happening again the anime creators will most likely wait for the manga to be completed. That is not far off. But I still think if there's one planned it will be released in Japan next year.

Well, they are not done with the manga and they totally deviated from the story line in the anime. Where I wish they were going to, I doubt there will be any Season 3 (or Season 2, whatever it is)
I don't think they will release another season it ended with the Kishin dieing it all lead up to that moment you have to say that was a pretty epic ending.It would be awesome if they did issue another season..
That would be hard.. Because the anime changes from the manga in around episode 30.. Meaning that the creators need to redo the episodes after episode 30 to continue the story...
The right way that is... The episodes after 30 is made y the anime creators instead of the manga ka ... I read the manga and the story changes real much.
i have lately seen a season 3 opening song on youtube so its very possible there is not only season 2 but also season 3

Sorry dude, but that's just the 2nd opening to the repeat show. Basically in Japan they are reshowing all the soul eater episodes, but with diffrent openings and are calling it the Soul Eater reapeat show. As for why the video is called season 3, my guess is the person who posted it was miss informed.
Well, nothing is official, but the manga has been recently completed so it's possible. I heard a rumor that they are in planning stages and will make it different by following the manga arcs a bit more instead of splitting off. I can't remember how the person I heard it from put it but she said that it was pretty much backwards to what most other anime's do. I certainly hope it's true since the manga was a lot better >.<
