SAMCRO is an acronym for Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original charter. That is referring to the specific founding charter that occupies Charming, California. Every other sect of Sons of Anarchy has their own charter, therefore SAMCRO is only found in Charming.

Some say it's an anagram for sons of anarchy motorcycle club redwood original. I feel it was someone that John Teller knew, or studied about. An American indian perhaps.
By SAMCRO they mean Sons Of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original but the book John Teller wrote that said the story of Sam Crowe was him saying SAMCRO without making it obvious
It's isn't Sam Crow.. It's an easy mistake to make.. Even I made it when I first started watching the show, even the subtitles on Netflix say "Sam Crow" anyway... It's SAMCRO (as you should see below) it stands for Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original.. Redwood being the charters name because J.T. Thought that charming was a weak name for a charter of a biker club
I think the confusion comes in where in the pilot episode, Jax finds a script written by his dad titled "The Life and Death of Sam Crow, How the Sons of Anarchy Lost Their Way" by John Thomas Teller.
So then can someone explain why, in season one-at the fair, Gemma's stand has a sign that said "Sam Crow (something)"?
Between the script that Jax found and that sign (and all the SAMCRO talk), it makes me think that sam crow could have been a person as well.
