Do ghosts and spirits count?

@shadowknuxgirl: More or less since they are technically dead so are therefore not living. It pretty much depends on who you're asking, but since ghosts and spirits are technically dead then yes.

Do robots count?

@Akiko_the_Cagon: Robots aren't living things technically, just metal assembled to have them function like a living thing. But no, robots aren't living things.

I find the non-living characters a bore. I can never find out how to give them a realistic and interesting personality. Living creatures are better to work with.

I've seen it done before, and well, it's just I can never do it and usually people who do have characters as non-living things are either overpowered or boring as all fuck.

@darkkhorn19: I do have to agree with you. Despite having a few non-living characters myself, I often keep them being minor characters because of their difficulty to develop. So yeah, you'd have to spend a great deal of time with them to make them as good as the rest of your characters (who are living things) without making them, as you said, overpowered and/or downright boring. Nothing worse than a Boring Invincible Hero/Villian.

@silvaze9: What I mean is: Are any of your Sonic fan characters a non-living thing? (examples: robot, ghost, doll, ZOMBIE, basically anything that isn't a breathing, living thing).

I do have 1 ghost, 1 phycotic doll, and I might do a zombie.. depending on my thoughts.
