Smica runs until he reaches his top speed, and gets on his board. The board senses Smica, activates, and and engages the thruster.

Smica accelerates, making the hover board just slightly unstable. When he tries to turn, the turbulance knocks his board off balance, making him tumble off the track. He tries to get back on his board while in that air.

'If I can just recover...' he thinks to himself...

Smica recovers, and slams down on the tail of his board to activate the thrusters.

They wouldn't engage.

He falls with his board onto a spot later on the track from the spot where Sojy and Sharmine were currently.
