I had this idea a long time ago...

In dark cave somewhere in America, a new species of spider, Nihil araneus originated somehow...
Last month, during a mining expidition, a group of excavators from the Cavernius Mining company picked up a large amount of them, which hid in their uniforms.
When they returned home, the spiders seized control of them by some unknown process known as illaqueo.
Not all were able to be controled, and those people were put in large, webby pods.

Today, a month later (obviously), there are several million illaqueo walking about. Their skin has the consistency of a thin film over a rough webbing. Many of them have Nihil nests resting on them.
