Upon arrival at the castle he was appointed as protector of the royal hedgehog triplets (Sonic, Sonia, and Manic). Eventually Sonic and his siblings meet Boom, and he joined them on there journey to take back Mobius from Robuttniks tyrant rule. After Robuttniks defeat Sonic, Sonia, and Manic went their separate ways and eventually Sonic and Boom meet again and decided to defeat Eggman together. Please note that though Sonic and Boom's friends now call Robotnik: Eggman, Boom still calls Robotnik: Buttnik.

Upon Ichi's deathbed she gives her daughter, Selena, a Golden heart shaped locket to remember her by. When Ichi gave Selena the locket Ichi said that Selena must never take off the locket for it will give her substantial power (her acrobatic abilities). Then Ichi died. :`(
