Sonic Fan Characters Question

Did any of you get any form of inspiration from non-sonic things for your fancharacters

Sorry for the...odd wording, it's midnight and I'm not sure how else to put it! xD

I'm simply curious, you see. uwu I take inspiration from lots of things ouo

Most recently Evangelion (nothing major like giant robots or anything, just minor things) and before that, a bit of Bayonetta (Mainly the fight choreography and such)

But I'm interested to see what you guys take inspiration from!

And I'm sorry if this has been asked before uwu

The only thing I can really think of is Sasha/Sammy/Samantha; their split personality disorder idea I got from Touko/Genocider Syo from Dangan Ronpa. But they really only share the split personality disorder.

Cooro's name came from one of my friend's who's prsonality is what Cooro is supposed to mirror. For that time, and to this day, he has a craze for this manga series called +Anima, and insisted on calling his representative character Cooro, instead of Jude. I'm happy I complied. Cooro is a character from +Anima, and this is what he looks like:

Gatage is inspired off the Gunslinger, or Rolnald (i thikn that's his name) from The Gunslinger by Stephen King.

Menae was inspired off of Nyu's personality from Elven Lied.

Tenemae is inspired off of Lucy's personality from Elven Lied.

Sanae's personality was inspired off of Nigisa Furakawa from Clannad.

But in the end, all of my characters have some reseblance to one or more characters from Angel Beats!, and that's all I have to say, because the rerst was inspired off of other things, and I can go on, and on, and on....
