Say,I'm looking for a new drawing software...any suggestions,guys?

I'm officially tired of struggle with MS paint and even when I can get it to work the way I want it,the type of files there saved in are the worst possible kind,so I'm looking for a new drawing software...If its free,doesn't take up too much memory,and works good its fine with me.
