Sonic Fan Characters Question

Evil is Afoot!

Your walking through a dark, shady looking part of town when you hear a deep voice say. "You'll pay for that!" Then you hear some weird electric cackling and then a scream. You run to the location of the scream and arrive just in time to see a cape flying around a corner and loud footsteps, and a man laying there passed out.

Do you decide to pursue the attacker? Or do you help the unconscious man?

(I'm assuming he walked in the warehouse now.) Inside the warehouse is a ton of old machines and random junk. Suddenly, a laugh can be heard throughout the building.
