Having trouble making character designs and clothing, any tips?

I suggest you look at pictures with clothing/character designs, and try to base off some outfits/designs from it. Seuris is an excellent example. Crazy-awesome outfits, and as an added bonus, amazing character designing.

Alright, a good tip for clothing on a character is to begin with the basics, such as a plain coloured shirt. Then add patterns or accessories that accompany the character's job, personality, or backstory. Hope it helped. :3

For clothes designing, I generally look at clothing magazines, or, if it's specialist clothing (like gothic lolita) I look on websites like Milanoo.com

As for actually designing the character, I can't really help you there o3o' I used to use Gen8's furry doll maker for some inspiration, though. Maybe that'll help you.
