Jacob is Shock's older cousin. He was on his way to visit Shock when he ended up being tested on by Gentek. He was infected by the Redlight Virus, which damaged his eyes--erasing the color and giving him black and white vision. Now he tries to get use to his new-found power, but is also looking for a cure to this nightmare.
Jacob also has Virus DNA--a "special" type of DNA not like most Mobian's. It was the main reason he was infected: because his DNA was able to adapt to the Redlight Virus so easily, without pain like others did.
