Can I have some help, please?

Um, one of my friends took a test about Mary Su's, and it was a Mary Su. Can anyone help her with some tips about how not to be a Mary Su? We got a great background story, and she dosnt recolour. So a few tips will help her.

Do these save the character's ass a lot?
Does it save OTHER character's asses?

...Even though that character is well known for being the best? (Eg. Sonic's speed, Knuckles's strength, Tails's brains.)

If so, then reconsider these. ;)
