Recoloring IS art theft. But you don't care. How would you feel if this happened?:

Let's say you drew this really epic picture that took two days, you worked really hard on it, you tried to make the anatomy and position right. Then, somebody sees that picture and decides to take that picture, and recolors it with different colors, and crops out the parts you spent hours on.

It is not right to color over an art template that is NOT. YOURS.

Recoloring isn't cool. You shouldn't like it. Just because other people do it for 'Fun', doesn't mean you should follow them. It is good to practice drawing free-hand, but doing it just to show off isn't the right thing.

Hah, why should we let you do what you want? This isn't YOUR world. You don't take control of everything. You're not the creator of all things in the planet. We shouldn't mind our own business until you stop what you are doing.

Recoloring isn't art theft, if you've asked permission from the original artist, and you give them image credit.

Recolor SEGA stuff, without asking, fair enough. It's not like you can get in touch with SEGA anyway... Even so, you still need to give credit to SEGA.

By posting this question, you've lowered yourself far past what any hater has even done to you.

it IS stealing if you don't credit it and you spelled "bitches" wrong

1. I suggest you go see a therapist.
2. Recoloring IS art theft, especially because you're not giving credit for the original pic to the original artist. Just draw your character. It doesn't matter if you suck at drawing or not. Original drawings > recolors any day. Besides, are you getting permission from the original artist? Are you giving image credit to the original artist (i.e. Original image credit: *insert original artist name here* Recolor credit: Me)? If your answer to either one or both of these questions is no, you're an art thief. I suck at drawing, but I don't recolor because it's wrong...and my computer crashed. I stick with drawing my own pictures. Bottom line: Recoloring, especially if you don't give credit, can get you in legal trouble. Legal trouble = courthouse. Courthouse = jail. You wouldn't want that, now, would you?
3. Stop stealing other people's characters and claiming them as your own like I've been hearing about. You can DRAW them, but you can't claim the characters as your own. Give the credit for the drawing to yourself and do something like *insert character name here* is copyright of *insert character creator's name here*.
