Who's her boyfriend, am I doing it right?

Well I'm normally very uncomfortable with people pairing up their Fan Characters with Offical ones, though that's only really with the game characters and with the comic ones I care but yet again don't care about their well-being.

If you really want to use an offical character as a BF/GF for your FC then I'd like you to keep these points in mind.

1) Please retain the Offical's original personality given to them, though it'd be realistic for your FCs personality to maybe alter the offical's personality. Though not entirely since you still want the Offical to act like they always do. You still want the offical to act recogniable, not like a completely different person because you changed there personality to have their selves perfectly revolve their lives around your FC.

2) Add at least some faults into the relationship, because no relationship is perfect and runs smoothly from start to finish. Though not too many or the pairing might look as if the relationship just won't turn out right, so keep the problems moderate, not too extreme.

3) PLEASE MAKE THE RELATIONSHIP REALISTIC AND BELIEVEABLE. No falling in love at first sight because it's cliche', overused and boring and it's also tagged here in the Sonic fandom as somewhat of a Mary-Sue trait. Also make your character's reactions to things in their relationship belieable to, but make sure it also stays true to their personality you gave them. For example, watch episodes of Tokyo Mew Mew, perferably ones which have the main character Ichigo/Zoey and her enemy the alien Kish/Dren. Observe their reactions to each other's behaviour.

I suggest episode 11, and watch it in Japanese since it stays more true to the actual story given in the manga. The English version was done by 4Kids Entertainment who had to remove or edit so much in the anime that they had to alter the story A LOT. Thankfully most Japanese episodes are provided in high quality and with English subtitles.

4) Develop your character's personality completely first, then compare it to the offical's personality (checking out Sonic Wiki's work, they give you very detailed personality anylasis). If you notice too many personality clashes that will ruin the relationship either:
Change your FCs personality
Change the Offical character to a different one or
Make another FC to be your FCs BF/GF so then it's easier, because it's more acceptable for personality alters in your own creations. This also works if your character's personality simply won't allow a romantic relationship with an Offical at all.

If all else fails, then you're just gonna have to accept the fact it's gonna take a while to find or conjure up a mate for your FC, or that they're never gonna have one. Don't worry though it's happened to me to. Took me roughly a year and a half to conjure up a boyfriend for my FC Garland.
