What inspires or helps you draw your fan characters?

Other artist's works and storys ^^ Music of course too! 83 One story how inspirated much is; Alice In Wonderland and songs is have to be soemthing beatifull and touching ^^ Some comdy thinks I get RP;ing and comedy shows xD

I get insperation from almost anything. Once my T.V glitched and got stuck on a Russian channel called RussiaToday for a while (though how a Russian channel got on my T.V I have no idea because I've never been to Russia and I don't have any Russian relatives or friends). So after watching a Russian channel for about 15 or so minutes, I sudddenly came up with a whole family of Russian wolf FCs. I know random, but now I'm trying to make at least one fancharater for at least every country I know of.

music, my mood and books. like right now im reading demonata by darren shan and im thinking about drawing this EPIC battle between the shadow and berbanabus lol

music like angles whit dirty faces a nice work song and the tv my fantasy my mind and everything my hamster inspires me to!!

Has anyone heard of a youtuber named ProjectSNT? She inspires me SO much ^^

Nobody helps make draw and besides nobody inspires me
i just like sonic so I started off by drawing the main sonic characters. after i got better i started making my own. I just start with the basics then I go into inner detail

First and foremost, Matthew Reilly. His characters are just awesomesauce, hence why I roleplay as Schofield now... ^^'

Also, music. Even just a beat can get me going...

Other's art can also be inspirational to me, in fact, I got the idea for Ningizzida's color design for Faezza's character, Naqua the Dinosaur.

Another key thing for me is emotion. Not many of you would now this, but I can sense people's auras and emotion. How another is feeling may treten on me so deep that inspiration is unescapible...

Just little bits and peices from everywhere in life come together for me when I'm at home with my pencils, the most insignificant things merge and become my thoughts transfered to paper.

usually music and mood, but since i live in the country, nature and events and weather also inspire me... for instance... the first snowfall inspired a character... it'll be on my forum post soon enough. :)

Definitely music. Which is usually dark and soothing.
Sometimes other people do, but I don't draw to please. I draw what I like; I draw my inner depths.

So when someone likes my work, I know that whatever I'm doing must be right.

I think about what powers do the charater have. If they have wind powers(I'm refering to Klonoa cause he looks like a Sonic charater with those eyes), you might as well colour him blue and make his/her clothes bigger than them so in the wind sways in the breeze. I usally listen to music to like Dynamite. I also search for other people's FC just to be sure my charater doesn't look like anyone else's. (image of Klonoa, he belongs to Namco. I did not make him, though he looks like s sonic FC. That was my first reaction to him)

It really depends on who I'm drawing and at what point in their life. Mostly I just read my novels or my comic books and listen to music when I get an idea. I can't really draw that well so...

For me, I watch a LOT of my fancharacter's show that she'he's for. And I look at others' fanfic characters. If I can't, I make up my own version of the people

Music, and then sometimes I get random inspiration. This morning, I was contemplating on how to make my new charrie, Hijak the Hedgehog, more unique. I already had his history, likes, and design down. Then when I was watching Wild Russia on Animal Planet, an animal called a long-eared hedgehog came up, and I thought, "I'll have Hijak be a long eared hedgehog instead of a normal one!" So yah.
I get inspiration elsewhere, but mainly it's music and random inspriation.
