I'd have liked for them to use the Framework as a means to bring Ward back, but I can't think of a way to do so since it'd involve using the Darkhold which would corrupt anything it affects. Better to not bring him back than to bring him back only to turn him into a villain again and kill him again. And by that time I didn't really have any hope or expectation that they would bring Ward back. I was just really glad for a short glimpse of him again.
