But if they demonstrate patience, laughter, or they play along, I know I’m dealing w/ people good enough to waste my time on. If only a little. Scourge zoned out in the beginning, only hearing mindless psychobabble like when Tails goes on technobabble-rambles. Instead of listening, Scourge fussed in his head about how lame Shadow is- -trying to make himself feel better about the ‘almost orgasm’ thing, childishly unable to let it go. In Scourge’s defense, it IS rare for ANYONE to be that happy…!
-Scourge~thinking to narrator: “-I KNOW, right- -?!! That was REDICULOUS - -I took over an entire WORLD!!”
-Narrator~sweatdrop: “… … you know I’m just essentially ‘Scintillant’ in third-person, right-? I’m Twist- -her only multiverse alternate…& there’s no way you could know I’m watching, so… …you’re actually TALKING to YOURSELF, right now…”
-Scourge~turning mental focus away from Twist in attempt to hide thoughts: “… …bitch…”
Don’t worry. Scourge HAS no mental focus for psychologically-problematic reasons. Thank God for emotional trauma-! ^-^ …but how did he hear me in the FIRST place when even Scintillant cant- -& I’m CONNECTED to her…?? …it happened when he was REALLY zoning out- -which is a kind of deep thought process that he usually has NO access to at all due to his personality of choice (in other words-he denies his more genuine personality…) … … … sweet Moses…this could mean Scourge’s more genuine persona has MEDITATION-type capabilities & EVEN DEEPER functions…!? …whoa… this could make for an interesting Scourge-fan-question…! <ahem> we now return to the feature presentation ;

-Shadow~a bit uncomfortable: “…not my thing. Sorry.” genuinely meaning it, but her ears droop like flowers weighed by strong rains-coming from her mind, as her feelings were hurt. The ears completed the ‘hurt-bunny’ look, bottom lip puffing out.
At first, Scourge sees an opportunity to sweep her away from the too-cool-for-his-own-good-Shadow, but before anything can pop out of his mouth…;
-Shadow~softening, then acting as if to ignore her: “…’Bist du ein Berliner auch?’ is really the only one that makes sense, so it’s not fair to ask someone to pick. …like I said.”
-Scintillant~dropping the ‘hurt’ look as if it never were: “<laughing heartily> -that’s what I picked-! & how I thought of it-! <giggle> YAY-! We’re doughnuts together-!! ^-^ In phoenix form I have rainbow sprinkles!” ~looping her arm through his: “…& you have cream-filling, right…??” w/ a smirk.
-Scourge: “?!”
-Scintillant: “…what would you pick, Scourge? … …Scourge-?” he having disappeared briefly, muttering to himself that ‘someone needs to kick his ass…!’. Returning w/ anarchy beryl, he powers up;
-Scourge~too unhappy to get cocky: “Okay, douchebag- -LET’S go-!!!”
-Scintillant~surprised: “where did THAT come from-?! Usually, he has to be PROVOKED in situations like this-!”~to Shadow: “…what did you DO- - -& how did I MISS it, I was looking at YOU the whole time!… …was it funny?”
-Scourge~erupting: “SKATERBOYYY!!!” he charges at Shadow, who pushes Scintillant aside to engage.
-Scintillant~ignoring that she’d been pushed somewhat harshly: “WAIT-!!! Shadow- - -“~trying to shout over the fighting: “-WAS IT FUNNY-??-! - -WAAS- -IIT- -FUUNNYYYYY- -?!!?”
