He may be almost always first to yell "Run!", but he's also the only one who ever actually confronts any of the monsters. If his friends are in a pinch, he'll always offer to distract the creature, saying, "I'll hold him off!"

In general, Fred is also always the guy who's making a case for entering spooky places, with Velma coming in 2nd. Velma's also next bravest, as she almost never gets spooked by something or talks about how creepy a location is. She and Fred are pretty much ready to walk boldly into any haunted mansion.

Fred almost always tries to confront the monster and devises a plan to capture that monster agree Velma would be the second in terms of that.

He and Scrappy are almost too brave.
