Why didnt they keep KAtie?

i dont get it i know kripke said finacially and stuff or w/e, but what they could afford genevieve for the new one and couldnt afford katie? how? is she that much more expensive?

there was a low budget in season 4.....if they had to keep katie cassidy they would have to pay a hell lot more...........Katie was too expensive
