has anyone read "you against me" by jenny downham?

if you have,and, like me, youre not british, what did you think of it? was the fact that the dialogue was slightly different from the way youre used to bother you or not really? i found myself giggling at the different words at first but as the book went on i got used to it lol. oh and if you havent read it i recommend that you do, its really gooood!
