Reading Question

Should I read The Hunger Games

OK, I am 11 years old and I like books that have lots of sub-plots and a big twist. Really unpredictable. So should I read the Hunger Games? It's supposed to be really good, but Twilight was ment to be really good and I hated it. What should I do?

I just finished the first book (The Hunger Games) and I loved it. It's not completely unpredictable; sometimes (at least for me) you could kind-of guess where things were going, but other times, something completely takes you by suprise. It does have a few sub-plots, and a few twists. But, there are a few points in the book where it gets a little graphic. Suzanne Collins doesn't get into great detail about it, it's just where you picture in your head, and the only thought you have is "Ew." I'm in my teens, and I loved the Hunger Games so much that I read it in one day, and the next day I went and bought the rest of the trilogy for my Kindle. (Catching Fire and Mockingjay) So, I'd say yes. It's nothing like Twilight, I promise. (I hated it, too.) Hope this helps!

I HIGHLY reccommend The Hunger Games. LOL, I read the first 2 books in the same night it was so good! It has an amazing plot, and you're sure to be blown away by the twists in the book. This series is one of my personal favorites, and I can assure you I have read many books in my lifetime.

I loved the Hunger Games. It's very different from Twilight (which is good, I couldn't stand the Twilight books either), and there are many sub-plots and twists. I must warn you, they can be rather, er, violent. But they really are great books, and I'd highly recommend them :)

Definately. The Hunger Games are amazing. I've given the books to adults, younger kids, teens my age, everyone I gave them to loved them. And good job for hating Twilight.

I LOVE The Hunger Games. <33333
I would suggest the Trilogy to anyone; being 11, some scenes and/or chapters might seem a bit graphic, but the series is phenominal, and truly a great and exciting read. With twists and turns every chapter, you'll find that you won't want to put the book down. Cannot WAIT for the movie! March 23, 2012. <3

Well I hated Twilight too but I thought the Hunger Games was really good. Not the best most amazing book I've ever read but Suzanne Collins is a good author so it was a good series. I'd recommend it. I didn't like the dumb love triangle, it was a little too ridiculous and Twilight-like.

Well I wouldn't reccomend it for an 11 year old. In my opinion you're a little too young for it. Maybe for 13+...
