I love Ranma and Akane. None of the other girls really suit Ranma except Akane.

Who picked the Ranma and Shampoo pic? Even if you are a fan of that couple Ranma looks FAR from happy in that one.

However my personal preference is Ranma and Akane. They were the intended couple in both the anime and manga after all.

I don't think Shampoo and Ranma look good together at all. I'm a Ranma and Akane fan, but I like shampoo; however even just judging by appearance they still don't blend well together even if they Do both have great looks. Besides I think Akane is quite beautiful as well, and not only is she perfect for Ranma, but they LOOK like a better couple than Ranma and Shampoo as well.

Ranma and Akane. Who the hell'd want Ranma and Shampoo. I have nothing against the girl, well I don't hate her, But come ON! If Shampoo and Ranma were meant to be together then Takahashi wouldn't have chose the cannon couple to be Ranma and Akane.

Plus that pic of Ranma and Shampoo is definitely from Ova 1, and Ranma did not want to be with Shampoo at that moment because its his fantasy where he imagines he looses Akane if he tells Shampoo he loves her so in the next moments he's trying to get away from Shampoo to tell Akane she's actually the girl he loves, then he snaps out of it to realize he imagined the whole scenario. The only reason he was after Shampoo in that episode was to sooth his wounded ego anyway nothing more. Though that was kinda mean if you ask me.

She's cute, but that doesn't mean a thing really. I like the fun she adds to the series, but there is NO WAY I'd ever say she belongs with Ranma , what's up with you any way???

Akane!!!

Akane is NOT like Shampoo or Ukyo, she is her own person and she shouldn't HAVE ta be compared to those two.She has a strong personality and above all she respects herself the most more than them. Ukyo tries to change herself wearing skirts and what not, Shampoo flaunts herself to grab Ranma's attention. Akane may try to cook and stuff, but she's trying to learn a new skill not change who she is. I think her short hair is a symbol of Akane's inner strength and the fact that she's perfect just the way she is!!!

I'm going to have to choose Ranma and Akane on this. I don't think he goes well with any of the other girls.

Ranma and AKane. They belong together, plus, its the only pairing possible between these two any way.
In reality, the original cannon pairing in Ranma 1/2 is never going to change and Rumiko Takahashi obviously had her reason to put these two together.

Akane and Ranma besides Akane loves Ranma the best , but Shampoo doesn't love Ranma She's with him only because of her Amazon law and Ukyo is engaged to Ranma because her father wanted to .. She was just a kid back then so She don't love him , but Akane at the first place she hated him but after so many scenes between the two she starded to love Ranma and gave up on Tofu , Ranma loves Akane cuz at the first place he didn't hate her but he wanted to know her better so he loved Akane XD (he adimit it at the last chapter of the manga)

Ucchan and Ranchan seriously since they were little and even ranma left ukyo she still forgives him now that's true love and no girl can love a guy that much for a thing like that was did to her
