Akane looks so cute and helpless when she cries. Plus Akane only cries when she means it and not to manipulate Ranma Like I've seen, not just Shampoo, but Ukyo too. The only time Shampoo's tears really touched me was season one when Ranma told her he was really a girl and Shampoo ran off crying. That one was genuine and it actually touched me, I think Shampoo was more pure in the beginning and gradually started to become tainted. Afterward I started to really dislike some of the things she would do . I'm glad Rumiko Takahashi chose Ranma and Akane as the cannon.

Akane wins me over. Plus Akane's tear are always genuine, not just sometimes in order to manipulate Ranma. Some may not like to hear this, but most guy do NOT like to be played for a chump like that.

The reason I like Shampoo so much is because she reminds me of Lum and I think some of the mischief she causes is funny.

Both are pretty, but Akane is my #1. But I'd feel bad to see either really hurt and crying. Akane's are always genuine, but with Shampoo, you never know.

Over half the time Shampoo's not even crying for real. When she doesn't get her way then she start to break out the crocodile tears.

I think shampoo's cutest crying moment was in season one. When Ranma made her think he was really a girl. I think that was one moment where shampoo seemed beautiful because at that moment the tears and emotion was genuine. But that was the only time I felt truly moved seeing the little amazon cry
All the other times her tears seemed to hold some ulterior motive, but that one moment I knew they were real and it really moved me.
